Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need special software to view the 3D Showcase?
Nope. However, your internet browser and operating system should be updated to the latest version. Also, WebGL must be enabled in your browser settings. Otherwise, you may not be able to access your completed renderings.
So how do I view the 3D Showcase?
Simply click on the URL we provide, which takes you to the site hosting the 3D models (including Walkthrough, Dollhouse and Floorplan views). Navigating is quite intuitive, and instructions are provided on-screen when clicking on the models.
What is the expected timeframe to complete a 3D Showcase?
The time varies depending on the size and complexity of the property, but we estimate approximately 1 hour per 1,000 sq.ft. This can vary to be less or more, depending on elements such as multiple levels, mirrors, windows, and other objects that require creative manipulation to work around. Other factors include the scheduling of other vendors, tenants or residents on-site, which can limit and delay movement throughout the property.
DISCLAIMER: The nature of this 3D proprietary technology is such that environments of harsh, reflected, or refracted light (for instance, from mirrors or ambient light) may affect sections of the 3D model. We have been successful in rectifying these issues on-site, but there can be unforeseen circumstances regarding lighting beyond our control.
Do you also have packages that also include photo + video, so I don’t have to schedule multiple vendors?
Most people choose to perform a separate professional photography shoot using DSLR cameras. We can recommend a couple professional vendors to you, if needed.
What property area(s) do you base pricing on?
Normally, we base pricing on interior square footage. From the interior, you will be able to see views from windows, sliding glass doors, or open lanais. However, in the case of unique levels, decks, balconies, pools or features outside the interior footprint — if a “view” is not sufficient or possible — a request can be made to physically cover exterior areas, so that one can “walkthrough” those spaces as well. Total covered walkthrough, including staircases and/or lifts, would determine your pricing tier.
NOTE: There are some limitations to the technology if there are not enough finite points of spacial reference (such as in an open field). It is best to discuss prior to the appointment, so we can provide you with a range of expected coverage & pricing.
Ideally, when should I schedule this service in the context of other vendors?
Similar to your photographer or videographer being scheduled to “shoot,” our technician requires a dedicated timeframe to “scan.” In addition, a continuous pathway is required for constructing the virtual model.
Staging your property ahead of time will ensure a faster completion time for capturing your 3D showcase!
It is best to give us as much lead time as possible, if scheduling other media professionals on-site on the same day. We appreciate discussing the implications ahead of time to coordinate the best possible scenario.
How do you take payments?
Upon confirmation of your booking, we will be sending you an invoice electronically. Payment is due upon arrival on-site. We accept checks (details in your invoice), as well as credit cards (Visa or Mastercard). There will be a 3% surcharge when paying with a credit card – which we will swipe on-site.
